Renzo Gracie told a story of someone in the family who was having their birthday, kid was 10 or 12 years old. A cake was bought and sitting on the table. When it came time to have the cake, they found the grandfather had thrown it in the garbage and said "you are not going to poison these kids with sugar, if he wants to blow out candles he can do it with a watermelon" 🤣

The gracie diet doesn't limit carbohydrates. Not sure where you got that. It simply has you eat 1 type of carbohydrate per meal.

I know of a person who probably did the diet for over 40 years and at the end they died at 78. My mom drinks orange juice likes it water and eats like shit and she is 88 and still alive. The problem I have with the diet from the ones that had told me about it, is they made it seem like you will be invincible, never get sick and live forever. Personally, I had high cholesterol and the diet corrected it. I think the key is to stay away from processed foods.

I will say it changed my trajectory with an illness where I could not physically regulate my sleep, appetite or energy for over 3 years. It corrected these things in 4 days of black belt application. I have 3 people in my life who have had the same results rapidly. One was diabetic, one had cancer so they wanted an alkaline diet and the other had IBS. All 3 are having success. With this motivation, I find this diet is easy to apply once conditioned and knowledgeable of the combinations. Timing comes rapidly as well. It wasn't my purpose, however I consistently lost 2 pounds weekly as well.

The diet doesn’t limit carbs. Maybe certain ones, but it’s so high in fruit, that it’s really odd to say it lacks carbs. Thats like saying a steak diet lacks meat because you can’t have pork.
