Johan captured the entire passage in stunning detail, including a mesmerizing time-lapse of the locks in action. 🎥 But it wasn’t all smooth sailing—while filming in the rain, Johan got soaked and bitten by a tropical bug 🦟, leading to a nasty infection. The bite was gross (red, leaking pus 🤢) and required immediate medical attention. Luckily, the ship’s on-call doctor was fantastic, providing a free consultation and effective treatment (steroid shots, antibiotics, and cream) for just $55. 💉 Johan’s feeling much better now, but he opted not to film the gross part!

Fabulous. It was great to travel with you. Some of the buildings are still there. We traveled in 1967 and then in 1973.
You have done some wonderful footage.
I remember the Prison and all the prisoners coming up to the fence and waving.

Ooh that’s interesting! From the photos I thought the canal was quite narrow but it looks like there was actually a lot of space for VV to go through. I guess the huge cruise ships can’t go through though… can they? Thanks for showing the journey! ❤

I went through the Panama Canal December of last year. The water level looks higher. I'm jealous our ship was too big for the old locks.

Trump might make your video go viral, that's why I clicked on it. He just mentioned the canal and I wanted to see how it works. Excellent video, straight to the point, short, well done. You should of shown a picture of the bug bite infection though. I think it would help viralize the video- or bacterialize it; that terminology may be more accurate medically.
