I love Panama. I'm here now as a matter of fact. But I agree with you about everything except it's NOT expensive at all. Unbelievable low prices. Shocking low prices. Great video.

Enjoy my country Panama. Reaggaton began in Panama with El General before Puerto Rico and DR.

I do NOT agree with various things, I'm from Panama. You can eat very cheap at any "Fonda" you have to ask the locals. Supermarket is way less expensive than eating out, the cheapest supermarkets are "machetazo" and "xtra", but super 99 and Rey are ok. You should stay near a subway if you don't want to spend a lot in a hotel right in the city and still get to the center for very cheap and very fast.

My second home. I've been to DR, Mexico, and will be in Colombia next week. Panama, for me, is my favorite.

I was stationed in Panama for 3 and half years. I was stationed at Ft Davis near Colon. Spent alot of time at The Johnnie B Club in Rio Abajo. Panamanians are really friendly and are great friends.

We love Panama! We had the best time, stayed two weeks, a ton to do. Felt safe, we stayed in a neighborhood and ran into the same people from the corner coffee shop. We stayed in a hotel but met friends who stayed in a Airbnb in an apartment building. We were on the cusp of rainy season and got drenched one day.

Honestly. Air B and B doesn’t give you an exact address until you pay which for me ; is not good and also as opposed to a hotel which does give you the exact address. Places to avoid in Panama. El Chorrillo, Santa Ana, La Cuchilla, Calidonia , Barraza

Good places: El Dorado, Punta Pacifica, Paitilla, El Cangrejo, Vía Argentina Bethania, Albrook, Clayton

I spent a week in Panama last month. Despite it being the rainy season I loved it. Always carry an umbrella for rain and also protection from the sun. Comparing Panama prices to Mexico is not an equal comparison despite exchage rates. People need to realize Panama is the most expensive country in Central America. It is also the safest but like anywhere you need to be aware of your surroundings. We went to the Panama canal museum and the history was interesting. Also saw a Picasso exhibit in Casco Viejo. Enjoyed walking around the different areas of the city. The fish market to Casco Viejo and the downtown areas. Took a ferry ride to Taboga and enjoyed the ride and explring the island. Everyone I met throughout our trip was nice and helpful. At night we stayed in and enjoyed making dinner in our VRBO home. It may have cost a bit more than a hotel but had su h a wonderful view and was very peaceful and a long day. One thing I wish I knew before going was more Spinish. I knew enough to get by but would have liced to understand more if what the locals were telling me. Beautiful country that definitely takes more than a week to explore. I hope to prend a month next time I go. I enjoyed your video and watch many people's videos to get different perspectives. It did help us plan better but now I keep seeing things I missed.

I did airbnb & hotels on my first trip & I prefer airbnb. I stayed in almost every part of the city but I prefer staying in Casco Viejo. Ita a good time and everything is in walking distance or a short taxi ride

You can eat cheap in Panama. You are in Panama City so prices are inflated like time square. There are mom and pop restaurants near Via Espana that get meals for $6/7

It's a strong history with Jamaicans, because we are the ones that built the Canal🇺🇸🇯🇲💫

Seems like you showed food prices in malls place where it would be higher than the corner family owned restaurants. Or other restaurants that serve Panamanian food. 😊

I went last year end of September and I stayed at the Marriott Executive Apartments that had an amazing pool, great staff, free Wi-Fi, great food and views in the city. I went to the W for brunch once but otherwise it was completely worth the stay at the Marriott.. I had a one bedroom apartment with two beds, living room, and small kitchen..
I went to restaurants over the causeway and shopped for souvenirs in Balboa from the Moolas. Didn’t spend much at all. Very reasonable. Ubers were criminally cheap - I lost sleep at how cheap they were cthuu. Dollar is 1 to 1. Overalll be respectful of other cultures. Learning theirs culture is the purpose of traveling and not trying to bring ours there.

Thankfully and full disclosure, my friend who is a native has a brother who lives there and she flew in to meet me. Good times!!

Placencia Belize is also amazing with great value for the dollar.

Absolutely loved Panama. Was there with my wife and two young daughters about 3 months ago. Stayed in a large hotel for part of the time (Panama City, Cangrejo), AirBnB part of the time (El Valle), and a boutique hotel (Bocas del Toro). Felt safe the whole time and was able to spend lightly or lavishly in all three places. If you are with kids, Amador and Viejo are the best!

Thanks for the great info! Did you happen to take a day trip to the San Blas Islands? Trying to figure out the best one to plan on. Thanks, again.

I stayed in that same Hotel Precipe. How did you like the Japanese restaurant next door or the breakfast place around the corner?
