Glad I spotted your site Rich as I was skirting through. Some really nice fish there and in such good condition too. These Freshwater Sharks do vary so much in the fight they give you. The LAST time I went Pike fishing was in 2003, a lifetime ago and the year before we moved. I was with a guide in Norfolk with my son. We used the same guy, Allan Griffiths continuously for about 6 years and NOBODY knew the rivers of the Broads like he did. On that final trip which I'll NEVER forget, I landed a huge Pike which didn't put up much fight BUT getting it in took about half hour. She weighed just over 34 lbs and was like lifting a sack of coal! And those 5 days we caught in the region of 20 other Pike, mainly double figures.
