Check Out How I Turned This Game Into A Speed Runner FPS:

Developing 2D Games for 7 Years...I finally gave 3D a Real Try!

1,000 likes and I'll make a demo version of this game and release it to the public as the BEST 3D Speedrunner FPS Rage Game!

In this video I decided to try and create my first ever 3d game as a 2d pixel art game developer. I had a great time trying out Godot and would love to continue developing games in both 2D and 3D moving forward. Let me know your thoughts in the comments on what I should try making next (or what engine)!

I think now anyone can become an independent game developer with the availability of all these free open source tools out there.
Very nice work, really encouraging. 👍👍👍

You really impresed me reece on trying out 3D game dev for a first go. Really fun interesting borrowed concept from a previous game of yours to. Loved how ya managed to make a fun little simple racing style collectathon arcade game out of the platformer. After seeing this it inspired me to actually give learning a engine like godot and game maker studio a try now since they both use similar language to python which I've been learning the past year with pygame. Thanks for these encouraging style videos Reece.

Awesome video! It was exciting to see you try out Godot :D
Also, it would be cool to see you try out the 2D side of it in a future video!

I mastered Godot by 1 month working on my Sandbox open world to test all knowledge and feature I learned.

Godot is hard for beginners. Tons of node system. But it's honestly worth the try!

I made games in Scratch and Pocket Code for 5 years now. And recently tried Unity on 2022. But given that Godot satisfied me.... I can say Godot is my platform!!!

No more childish code

I have a suggestion for a form of movement: Rocket Jumping. Basically if you haven’t played tf2 it’s a form of movement where you have a rocket launcher and if you shoot the ground your rocket explodes on contact and pushes you away from it. Chaining this with jumping lets you fly upwards.

I've always shyed away from 3D because I really deep down don't want to learn to make 3D models 😵‍💫 Aghh 2D graphics are bother enough lol. Excellent video as always Reece! I might give GoDot a try at some point :D

Fantastic seeing you step into a new dimension! What happened to game makers 3D stuff? I remember making 3D games in 2013.
