I don't agree with this whole tipping tradition in America. No one should feel obligated to tip. People should only tip if they receive exceptional service or if they just got loose change laying around. I shouldn't feel bullied to tip. Why am I paying for my food and the worker? Restaurants need to start paying employees proper wages. Some restaurants actually have gratuity built into the bill and I actually prefer that cause then I can decide to eat their or not based on that policy. And I wouldn't have to constantly feel pressured to fill in the tip line on every receipt.

however, I still tip if im dining in although its annoying

Tipping is a choice. Not an obligation. No one should get mad at not being tipped for a job that one is already being payed for. Law of attraction is women want you to spend your money while they save theirs but will speak about equality in the same breath

I'll never understand why Americans are so obsessed with tipping. Why am I forced to pay you extra money for doing the work that you should be doing in the first place? If you are a waiter it's your work to serve your customers well. That's literally your job. Tipping should be optional. If you want better pay discuss it with your boss smh!!!!

why don't restaurateurs just raise the salaries of servers? Tipping is bribery. In italy we at best leave a couple of euros, if the service is over the top, but most of the time we leave nothing, the service is included in the price of the meal

Girl, why don’t you pick up the tip? The real question is why is he paying the bill every time y’all go out? We live in a world of equal rights for men and women! Does she have a job? If so, then she needs to equal contribute! Why should he have to make all the sacrifices for the relationship. She probably hasn’t invested much into their so, I’m sure it’ll be easy for her to just move on to the next ATM man.

Tipping is optional, always, and no I won’t tip for bad service I could care less if you’re in a bad mood or having a bad day.
At other jobs people still have to give the same service regardless.
