im an old punkrocker, , and i see how this is a very honest girl with her art music, choreography, and fashion....im new to her, i just heard this, and the npr tiny desk, and have gone backwards the last couple days...but im completely smitten. I hear of course the obv bowie/t-rex/PJ harvey/Kills?even dick dale in her work, but also PHRANC from LA, X from LA, peaches, iggy, gitane demone.... and many others. i appreciate her integrity, and her near genius music and art and coreography and fashion...of course not unlike bowie or nico and the velvets. AND all of this through the filter of her family....Aunt and Uncle in the GO ANNIE! this is YOUR time....I love how you take the early punk asthetic, and use the big machine for your advantage opening eyes, ears, and hearts through honesty....very commendable! and this nobody is loving it! GO GO GO annie! this is YOUR TIME...and by the way those signature guitars look SO fantastic....one of the best ive seen maybe EVER? you are a special artist Annie

Cheryl is so genuinely into music she's the perfect host for the bigger acts on KEXP live, she's warm and totally un-showbizzy. the artists respond to that. St. Vincent was a bit testy and Cheryl had to work it but so what, SV's a talent and gets a pass. Really great performance especially the last two tracks.

The negative comments about Annie Clark's attitude are incomprehensible. She is friendly, verbal, polite and informative. What more can you ask?
It seems she triggers some kind of defensive insecurity in some people but I just can't see it.
