Most truck tires you'll get a 1 inch impact 3/4 hose. Battery impact might loosen a few but not gonna tighten them enough. Remember using 4 foot pipe to break some loose.

To be fair, it was never meant to remove semi lugnuts. That's what those giant 1" drive impacts are for.

When you test with big rig lug nuts, you need to put a little road salt on them, then over torque, then let them sit a while. Twice as hard to remove. If you don't, you will have people buying an impact that won't do the job.

Bauer's (Harbor Freight) 1/2'' CORDED impact can do it. It's roughly about $100 if you're paying full price. Cheaper with coupon.

you should try corded electric impacts, I have one it is pretty beefy, its 7.5 amps, i can run it off a generator when i dont have an outlet

Great video as usual, but this is more of a curiosity test than anything. Obviously, the Hart and others like it were designed for low torque jobs by the home mechanic. Not many home mechanics will be removing rig lug nuts. If you need to break high torque fasteners usually you are buying a heavy-duty big boy air or battery impact with legit breakaway torque ratings over 1000 ft lbs. As a home mechanic I like to keep a decent low torque battery impact that will handle most average jobs and a quality high torque one for stubborn fasteners that require tons of torque. I rarely have to use my air impact anymore.
