Florida becomes third state to surpass 1 million COVID-19 cases

Florida has reported more than 1 million cases of COVID-19 since tracking began in March.

The grim milestone was hit Tuesday after the Florida Department of Health dashboard reported an additional 8,847 coronavirus cases for Nov. 30.

Florida is the third state to report more than 1 million cases, following California and Texas. A total of 1,008,166 people in Florida have tested positive since the pandemic began.
