I pray that the hurricane will downgrade significantly or divert. I pray for the safety of the people and homes in its projected paths. On another note, though, I must say I had to look twice to see if it was really NBC News that published such an awkward headline: "Florida braces for hurricane Ian after becoming category 3 storm." This is an example of the reason I read what is being posted slowly and carefully. Some might say I am being trivial, but I don't take grammar for granted, especially when it is so easy to be misled.
