Don't spend your money on a slight bump when your GPU will work mostly fine, so long as you are willing to turn off or turn down settings or resolution.

However, if you are going to do it, sell your current GPU to cut the bill down.

The DLSS3 to FSR mod basically gives you FG for the 3080, which also works for Cyberpunk and AW2!

You have a god damn 3080! Your PC is better than like 85% of Gaming PCs out there currently. And the 85 is generous it's probably in the 90s. You don't upgrade, you enjoy your PC! You still have a few good years of gaming on it.

Not even the 4080 Super would be a worthy upgrade from a 3080. Too little of an upgrade for the money spent.

Im still using a 1080ti and have no need to upgrade. The only reason I would upgrade is as part of my gamedev job when I need path tracing, but in Unreal Engine it's not realtime anyway yet.

I did and I’m pretty happy with it. ~20% performance bump, frame gen, better ray tracing, all for like $150 after selling my 3080

I would definitely wait another gen so at least the current gen GPU prices drop a bit and this person would also have more options to choose from. Also gives them a chance to save up to really get a meaningful upgrade.

Wait for the 5000 series, friend. I have a 10gb 3080 ftw3 ultra and it is still rock solid at 1440p. I don't plan on upgrading until the 5000 series, at the absolute soonest, and more than likely at the 5000 series refresh in 2026, hell maybe even not until the 6000 series.
