Jack Ma, Elon Musk debate AI at China summit

The three-day World Artificial Intelligence Conference opened in Shanghai on Aug 29, with more than 300 speakers in attendance. A key highlight on the opening day was a debate between Alibaba founder Jack Ma and Tesla boss Elon Musk. The two tech titans clashed on whether artificial intelligence (AI) would eventually surpass humans.

this so-called "AI debate" was an incredible waste of myy time watching it.

I cannot believe someone actually thought it was a good idea to put together Elon Musk with Jack Ma.... it was totally different points of view crossed and different backgrounds and knowledge.

both seemed to be lost with each other not really comfort with the other person's comments or visions and In many cases, it was obvious that their visions didn't match and their knowledge on rge subject didn't either.

At a certain point I would say Jack Ma's vision was completely Clueless and naive while Musk's became practical and forward-looking.

the arguments of Jack ma saying that humans will be always smarter than computers are to be disregarded.

the already proven superiority of computers in things like chess It's a clear proof of his ignorance on the matter.

Needless to say I am really disappointed with the outcome of this so-called debate and the expectations i had for it.

I would urge everyone here to actually watch the debate or some highlights from the debate from a different source. Jack Ma's reasoning is... something to behold. And I don't mean that in the positive sense.
