Also, they addressed grass fed meat in the film. It's actually less sustainable than factory farmed meat

these guys feel that veganism is increasing so they are panicking: "guys wait we gonna treat animals better, don't stop eating them!"

The co2 storage of soil has a limit. Once you sequester that max. Very quickly all you have is a ton of methane releasing bovines. Its such a dumb argument. Especially when you can regenerate soil with plan agriculture and green manures instead.

This is like saying gas guzzling muscle cars are great for the environment because we grew some trees around the race track.

I'm vegan 7 years now. One thing i noticed i never catch cold. Maybe my body is at ease when no need to fight off constant bacteria assault from dairy products.

How is this debunking cowspiracy? The guy making the documentary goes on to explain that grass fed beef is in fact not sustainable at all. The end of the documentary literally summarizes that its best to go vegan

Aaaah, grass-fed though, that so original... A German came up with that... Gründlichkeit...

If all the land used for growling food for animals is used for forestry and wildlife reserve we can double the forest area of earth.
If whole world go vegan, we will not need to bread animals and their population will decrease. These remaining farm animals can go to forest

Grasfeed is a complicated term can mean they are on pasture under conventional pasture that is sprayed and isn´t divers. Basically that is like you basically just eating kale all day. Under Holistic Grazing management the pasture is divers with different vegetation and the animals are moved very often creating that Animal impact that mimics the huge herds of animals that roamed all the prairies in the world. Those Divers Grasslands only stay healthy and productive (especially in brittle environments) with large herd of ruminants. If you time the recovery and the grazing right you massively increase the amount of carbon in the soil. This in turn holds nutrients/water/life in the soil and restores watersheds and stops topsoil erosion. All the huge stores of topsoils where created under prairie (through enormous herds) not under forests and not under vegetable acres that are tilled.
Under Holistic Managment you build soil and restore wildlife and create whole ecosystems instead of trying to do a soy monoculture for instance. For every kg of organic matter we build in the soil we sequester 3 kg of co2 from the air. Pasture cropping is another interesting method where you plant into the pasture after you overgrazed it letting the main crop grow ahead when the crop is high enough the grass will have recovered and grow under the main crop. After the harvest of the main crop the animals come back in and graze the rest of the crop and some grass. In this way you still have the pasture to protect the topsoil and feed the micro organisms keeping the co2 in the ground. Every time you plow a field, or you leave it bare, you release lots of co2.

Ok so meat eating in general isn't bad, but the amount they're producing and the land they're cutting is the problem, I will agree on that.

imagine thinking fast foods with the sugar, bread, cooking vegetable oils, cucumbers, onions, fries, lettuce tomato, sesame seeds, plant based condiments, fucking diet coke, onion rings and nuggets fried in vegetable oils and bread, should be considered as meat consumption for a 100 gram patty with nothing but pure protein.

I’m sorry, where in this video did you show any evidence that grass-fed ground beef is so unsustainable environmentally? You just showed a clip of someone who shared scientifically how beneficial cows are for the quality of the soil. I think I’ll eat more meat now

Meat eating is traditionalized violence
I'm sorry you can't eat meat in this country
But it is our tradition in the country I come fromYou can see that and I can prove it with our religious

They don’t raise grass fed animals because it is cheaper to raise grain fed animals. It is cheaper to raise grain fed animals because grain has more bioavailable energy than grass on a per acre basis and on the basis of all inputs, including land and other natural resource inputs. It is dramatically cheaper and dramatically less land and natural resources intensive to grow food for people without feeding it to animals first. So, grass fed fails on an economic basis, on the basis of all natural resource inputs, and on the basis of land.

The only consideration is “does grass pasturing animals to produce a given amount of food calories in the form of animal products sequester more carbon, despite using more natural resources and land, and costing more than growing that same given number of food calories for people directly.” What an incredibly obviously false claim! There is no way that is possible when it requires such a small fraction of land to produce the same calories for people! And it is not as if meat is so nutritionally dense, that calories is the wrong basis for comparison. Meat, on average, is about as micronutrient dense as many grains and about as protein dense as soybeans, the two feed commodities which happen to be grown most commonly as animal feed.

Now, I’m not talking about pasturing on non-arable land, because, what a minuscule part of our food needs would grass pasturing on non-arable land provide! Actually, these facts and their arguments seem to lead only to the conclusion that if we want to protect the environment, we should not allow crops to be fed to farm animals and should not allow farm animals to graze on arable land. If that were their position, that is a set of laws I could get behind.

But of course this whole argument is supposed to support the fantasy that you can get just as much output, on the massive scale of current animal product production, by grazing farm animals as you can get growing crops for people to eat on the same land area. That is obviously false. The only serious question is “how much worse is pasturing and animal agriculture in general?” It is like somebody said “stop riding your bike 10 miles to work and back every day; that’s bad for the environment because you need to eat food to provide the energy to ride your bike, and think of all the natural resources and energy that went into producing the bike. Instead, pedal on a stationary bike hooked up to a generator several hours a day after work and use that electricity to power an electric motorcycle and ride that to work. Problem solved!”

As soon as he started spewing his clueless blather, I kept waiting for the nonverbal guy to just get stand up, deck him, then leave....and that would be the end of that.
But I also would have been fine with the "Dr" finishing his little speech, then they both jump up and yell, "" *KIDDING* "!!!

PS. "Heya" clip, tho!!💚
