Nike Air force 1 Women Vs Kids/SIZING/STYLE/COST?

In this video, i am comparing the Nike Air Force 1 Women's in size 8 and Big Kid's in size 6Y.

Thank you for this video. I asked the lady from the shop if there were any difference and she only pointed out that the laces are a little bit yellow in the juniors one.
However I tried them on and the women were MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE. I wear size 5 or 5.5 (uk), but even though there were 40€ difference, I went for the womens size.

IMPORTANT FYI: The Women’s pair is longer because the equivalent size to a Women’s 8 is actually a big kids 6.5 not a 6. To translate a “big kids” size to a women’s you add 1.5. So its like you were comparing a womens size 7.5 to an 8. All other points are valid though. Just thought viewers should know. Hope that makes sense!

I got size 4 for women, it cost £100 then the lady suggested to get the junior one which is cheaper and it cost £65. I went for the junior one since I don’t really see any difference. I’m happy with the junior one.

Thank you for sharing. I am a UK size 3 and often buy the kids trainers as far cheaper here but they can be less comfortable, I thought that was just the actual trainer not the kids ones. I will splash out and buy the womens for comfort.

I personally always find a good fit with 4.5-5Y
depending on the brand but I like the more sleek fit and a tighter fit since when u break a shoe in they always seem to stretch and get bigger too. With that said youth sizing always fit me better but I also have a very slender size 6 women’s foot so that works for me. Very few cases I’ve actually sized down to 4Y but it’s not often and again it’s always bc brand is made bigger in my conclusion. And of course they always have the price break too.. size 6 correlates and adidas are probably the only shoe I can actually buy in womens size that will fit me the way I want. Yes it’s a preference and if u can get a way with it then I say go for it!! Ur always gonna come out on top since most lines are same shoe for woman vs mens vs youth lines of shoes anyways only difference are the slight sizing and definitely the price!! And the more u know about it the easier it is to be able to shop online and get it right the first time… also remember too just bc u wear 6womens -4.5-5y in Nike it’s not always gonna be same size for the brand bc they have many different lines that are made for different types of feet sizing… some slimmer some wider some are bulkier some are just so narrow u have to size up but then it’s too long lol trust me I get it that’s where u need to know ur lines and definitely about what fabrics fit u best too. Like maxes are my most loved line so I normally stick to those but sometimes I want or see something else in another line from same brand so instead of ordering multiple sizes if same shoe I make a trip to store to see what my size is gonna be then go back online for the discount.. good luck and hope this helps!! A kid's 6 is a women's 7.5. I'm guessing differences in comfort come down to design but maybe also production factory. There's a slight difference in the toebox perforation patterns with the kid's and men's models having more perforations that women's models for some reason.

I wonder if the youth version has any air cushion in the sole, because the difference in the size of the air cushion between the men and women version is huge. The men version has the air cushion almost on the entire sole, while the women's only has a tiny cushion under the heel and that s it.

I agree, these shoes run big. The 6.5Y was still too roomy for me so I got the 6Y and I’m a size 8

Just bought size 6Y for my 11yo daughter and it looked like a boat on her foot. Ended up just keeping it for myself but it’s still a bit big and I’m a size 7.5W in AirMax.
