Aerial footage captures Iceland volcano spewing lava after eruption

A volcano in southwest Iceland began erupting Monday evening, spouting lava and smoke more than 330 feet into the air, according to the country's meteorological office. The office said that gas pollution may be detected near the capital late tonight or tomorrow morning. This comes after weeks of intense seismic activity on the Reykjanes peninsula.
