LIQUID BANDAGE - Liquid or Spray - Real Use - Results post 1-Week
Oct.-Nov. 2021. The Video is my experience using two brands of liquid bandage (one applied by a little brush; the other by spray). For at least 2 or 3 hours after gouging my thumb with a wine-bottle opener, I could NOT stop the bleeding, even with a lot of pressure using three or four bandages, and holding my thumb above my heart. Yes, 2 reasons for the bleeding: I take 83mg Aspirin daily; and I'm an old guy! Anyhow, wow, it really stings when applied, for at least a minute or two, but it "anticepticsizes" and covers the wound to stop bleeding (at least it did for me). I was also concerned that I was using liquid bandage over more area than just a little slice or cut or scrape. I never saw any evidence of infection. -- Trip

I think it’s a smart type of product to protect minor wounds from infection while sealing them from bleeding. It wears off by itself.

Thanks for the comprehensive and direct review, much appreciated! Here in Australia we have a few similar options, one of which I am about to apply right now. Usually my favourite band-aid type products are hydrocolloid bandages. A smooth, slippery kind of sticking plaster that you apply once and leave on for multiple days until it literally wears itself off. I'm keen to try this new option out!

If you are on blood thinners, bleeding can take longer to stop. If you used antibacterial soap then dab it with alcohol using a cotton ball, use a bandage for few hours. Then apply new skin. Yes it stings but it means it is working. I had a wound similar but longer in the same area. I tried the spray once but did not like it. If you wanted to bandage it, use band aid brand flexible bandage because the wound needs to drain for a few days.

I have a similar cut on my middle finger and wearing bandage just impedes my golf grip. So this helps my decision

Your body makes a natural bandage, a scab. There's no need for a man made bandage.
