The Science of Behaviour Change and how to power through to your goals
Показать описание
There are a number of evidence-backed strategies that have been shown through research to be effective in helping people change health-related behaviours. These strategies can help adjust how you eat (i.e. more greens and less meat); move (i.e. moderate exercise for 150 minutes five times a week) or think (i.e. manage stress to be less reactive). But what if you know what you need to do and haven't been able to make a sustainable change on your own?
During this webinar recorded on June 6, 2018, a psychologist and a registered nurse discuss the stages of behaviour change and effective strategies from two approaches: (i) clinical psychology; and (ii) health coach approach.
Dr. Amanda Beaman, C. Psych and Megan McAdam, RN, BScN cover:
• The science of behaviour change: what works, what doesn’t
• Coaches aren’t just for athletes: Understanding self-efficacy and the role of an accountability partner
• Psychology vs. health coaching: similarities, differences
• Stages of behaviour change
• When to seek external support
