The best way to keep an outboard clean in my opinion is to use a paint brush and a leaf blower to blow dust away.
Then use a moist microfiber cloth and lightly wipe the engine.
Finally use Cossorion X on a brush or microfiber pad an apply the minimum on the engine.
No silicone spray.
Washing will not necessarily harm but moisture will eventually work its way in and direct water is best avoided.

You have guts spraying your alternator with direct hose pressure. Honda just voided your warranty and everyone witnessed it!

Please to a video on applying grease to those throttle linkages. They're a little hard to reach and it's not clear exactly what portions of them take the grease.
