This game gives me a sense of fear. Like, that I shouldn't be doing this. Shouldn't be zooming around the cosmos. Whenever I get close to a black hole, I feel like my pc will explode. Idk...

Amazing! Something to note: Moons between rings are surprisingly common. Even Saturn has moons between rings.

I found a planet about the same size and temperature of earth which was entirely covered in oceans ~120 km deep, but there were thick brown clouds covering the whole planet which made the planet look like a massive desert

j1407b apparently doesn't actually exist. Now they say it's just a brown dwarf. I've never been there so I can't say for sure.

4:30 NGC 6050 is such an amazing place, imagine a planet with intelligent life looking up in the night sky and seeing that. Definitely jealous of aliens that live there.

Have you ever played this with VR? you really get a scale of everything. What i like to do is Play Normal mode and i look for interesting places and planets whatever, and i save them. Then i will explore later in hard to search in VR but to fly around in Vr is perfectly great....Last night i was Viewing earth in HDR mode which gives you a more realistic Look to the planet in VR and i was just stunned how real everything looked, and i went to Mars. Which from a distance looks like real life in HDR mode.

I don't mean to sound like an annoying nerd, but moons in rings are actually very common. They're called Shepherd Moons and are responsible for the striking gaps between ring bands.

I was expecting this to be an April Fools video… some of those views were incredible.

4:31 this is so far the best thing I've seen! Imagine looking up the night sky and seeing three galaxies touching each other!

It's actually believed that J1407b was really a brown dwarf with a protoplanetary disk around it. It just so happened to pass in front of a star so perfectly thar it'd appear as a planet with rings.

I remember buying this thinking it was universe sandbox, and I was initially very upset when I realized I was playing the wrong “game”.

But now I would say it is the best accidental purchase I have ever made

When magma comes up outta the ground underwater it immediately encrusts and turns black so the rivers of lava among oceans is unrealistic but aside from that everything in this video is truly amazing, very awe struck

Just got this thought... In the movie "Interstellar", the crew visits 2 or 3 planets (I haven't seen the full movie) trying to find a new home. Are those planets in SE? The scenes you are showing are incredible!! Thank you

that j1407b zoom out always makes me feel weird, it's like a major astromegalophobia trigger for some reason but eh, I still love space and exoplanetary science anyway
