You are an absolute godsend. I forgot about laying my key job on the roof of my 2008 Ford Fiesta while putting a leash on my dog and by the time I came back the key was not there or on my person. Mind you, this all took place about a year ago. I checked everywhere around the car and under it, each wheel (logical place to put it in my opinion.)

I backtracked every inch of the forest me and my dog went to (she had the time of her life, alas... I certainly did not.) I asked any other people about it, but no one saw anything.
So there I am, no key shut out of my car. A friend of mine is a mechanic and after forcing the door open with inflatables we could haul my car to somewhere where they could replacate the key, since I was already missing my spare years back. (Protip: never get down to one key, ever.)

All in all, it cost me about €250-300 / £220-260, I can't remember exactly. I let them make one key fob with the buttons and one without to take with me when kitesurfing.

After a couple of months the 'buttons on the new' key fob stopped working. I know it was a Chinese knockoff, I agreed that was alright. After months in the Dutch rain when removing leaves behind the top of the hood I noticed something... It was the original key. Who the hell would leave it there for the owner to find? Anyway, it didn't work either.

Since about a week I was sick of it, I changed the battery, reset the prongs, but to no avail. However, I now tried it with the original key and it still didn't work, until I found your video.
The original key is back in action!
edit: so is the knockoff key fob, I forgot to put it back and turn the ignition or something I think. It works now as well!

Then l will be doing this procedure.
I have followed this video, it has chimed and half my doors unlock .
So now l Waite for Amazon to send me new batteries for the fob

I have the Ford C-MAX 2007 three button key that stopped the remote unlock to work (the engine starts normally) and i want to make the procedure (turn from 315 to 433 European frequency) do you know how to do it?( I want to mention that the key used to work but somehow changes the frequency!) a locksmith check the key and said that it is programmed with the correct code but the signal is sending to the wrong frequency (315 instead of the 433hz)! Do you know how to change frequency again

Will this start the car after I’ve changed the ignition barrel? Does anyone know? I’ve got a new spare and a new top half to the main key so will I be able to clip that onto my existing key with the buttons and do this? Any help? Thanks.
