Another great video! You described my dilemma perfectly. I'm all hung up on which organization to go with. I'm that person. One thing, that I think, draws future coders to the AACP is their package deal. They do, indeed, have a "business model", like you said. Their all-in-one package includes membership fees and exam costs, as well as Practicode, where AHIMA has extra costs tacked on, like books. I'm still drawn to AHIMA, though, for some reason I can't explain. I'd rather buy my own books, for one thing, because I don't want to get stuck with ebooks. I don't know. Just a feeling about AHIMA.

I went in straight to a Dual Certification. CCS-P and MCBC it was combined into one price but its 6 months of schooling.

I got my CCA 10 years ago, and I was only certified for a year. I work for a hospital in the Pre Registration department. I want to transfer to coding for the hospital. Which certification should I go for? I definitely need a refresher course or something. What would you advise me to do?

Hello Bleu I just recently completed my coursework for the CPC program and I will be taking my exam at the end of the month. I am interested in getting my resume and cover letter created, should I wait until I pass the exam or is okay to get it created now?
