As a retired Marine, I do not feel an ounce of disrespect because of these people. I have accomplished so much in my life that I will not let this silliness bother me, after all, they just want to be like me and couldn't. If doing this gets them a meal, they probably need it, as a matter of fact, if there is a free meal out there somewhere for me as a veteran, I would gladly let them have it and fill their belly.

I would rather see them do their hustle to survive than for them to rob someone or worst.

As a former marine it’s beneath me to call out “stolen valor” and most the guys I served with have too many good things going on in their lives to bother calling out folks that most likely have mental health stuff going on or at a minimum don’t have many positive things happening for them and just want a little attention. And don’t tell me you knew people that died serving…most likely if they were here they’d be doing positive things and not make time for silliness either. I choose my battles more wisely……like with people I’ll never meet on the internet 😂😂😂.

I don't care anymore I was in 1978 and 1979 that was many years ago and I don't go around making problems for others. I haven't cared in many years. It's no longer important

Every veteran I know, including me, only call them out directly to them and not loudly. Just let them know that you know. No need to announce to anyone else around.

It is a disrespect to those who have sacrificed for this country and those who paid the ultimate price. Thank goodness we have people who know the difference.

As a veteran I have to say, I have never seen a soldier or veteran do this. Karen's attacking stolen Valor doesn't help. And sadly it's only against the law if used to enrich themselves.

These guys got nothing else better to do

As shameful as it is, as a disabled veteran who has lost brothers, this doesn't bother me. I didn't join for accolades, and if someone needs the discount, it is what it is.

I'm a Veteran. I carry a copy of my DD214 with me. Also, in Texas it gets printed on my Drivers License. No reason to lie about service. I'm not sure where my uniforms are anyway. I might wear a cap once in awhile.

I don’t care he’s hungry and needs food. I don’t find it disrespectful I just see a man hungry.

My Grandfather was an Lt Colonel my uncle was in Air Force for 30 plus years my other uncle was in army then transferred to marines during Vietnam war and died as a result and I was named after him . I don’t have a problem if he’s starving and needs food … I will never have a problem with anyone doing what they need to to eat

As a veteran. Who fucking cares, I don’t. At all, talk are insecure and petty.

This guy is a friend of mine and you are mistaken. He did serve our country and he's not trying to dress up in full uniform.
