I-Ninja and Metal Arms are the most overlooked game ever. So glad to see this on this list. Great list overall!

Does Anyone Remember Knockout Kings (1998-2003) ??? I know people remember Fight Night (2004-2011)

Oni was so good!! I'm honestly shocked it sold so poorly. Maybe the marketing just wasn't there. I had only ever heard about it because my uncle owned it.

Without Roadkill, I never would have meet my best friend because of it.
We literally became friends because with both found out we had Roadkill during class back in the 4th grade, along with 2 others.
To this day
We are still best friends

I've played Nightshade, the No One Lives Forever games, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, and Oni and they were awesome.

PS2 had a LOT of underappreciated games.

Mad Maestro! was a rhythm game that went in for classical music. Why no one wants to touch that genre with a ten meter cattle prod, despite a huge catalog that would cost nothing to license, is beyond me. I'll see your "Through the Fire and the Flames, " and raise you one "1812 Overture."

Baroque was an unapologetically tough post-apocalyptic roguelike. It was weird, it was wonderful, and I miss it.

G1 Jockey 3 got a Western port, and this was all about the racing, the horses, and the characters. You'd think a horse racing RPG-light would be a snoozer, but you'd be wrong.

Nobody ever mentions the mostly linear rpg Draken, And The Ancient Gates. Great airborne dragon riding combat, neat magic casting function where you draw in the air with the analog stick, archery, small and heavy melee weapon builds, lots of weapons and armor, various enemy types, female lead character, interesting story, multiple world climates... I really miss that game.

I remember playing Oni back in the day. The combat mechanics were legit amazing. My favorite move is you run towards the enemy, grab his head while jumping, using your momentum and centrifugal force to twist his head 360 degrees. 3:p

Oni, next to Max Payne and Tiberian Sun, was the most played game by me in early 2000's.
Each time Oni is mentioned anywhere, I'm always shocked that someone else than me remembers this game.

I'll never tire myself saying Ghosthunter was my best unknown PS2 game experience to date u.u

Mercenaries - Playground of Destruction, Wild Arms 5, Urban Chaos: Riot Response... All criminally underrated and without their due popularity.

Im so glad Urban Reign got a mention. VERY under rated. Different fighting styles. Like a Tekken but in a arena battle.

Emulating the PS2 games on a PC with higher resolution graphics configured is one of the most satisfying things in gaming history. It's nostalgia with high quality.

why is bloodrayne here? it was multiplat and pretty popular

BloodRayne and it's sequel were so good and Rayne is such a fun protagonist. The West could never create a character like that in the 2020s, if the twitter backlash against Stellar Blade is anything to go by.

Speaking of redheads, my choice for this list would be Drakan: The Ancients' Gates.

Oni was far more than a fun combat game, it also was used for inspiration in designing the oni faction within halo

I've recently played Kya: Dark Lineage again. The fighting and platform mechanics still hold up imo. It's a shame that the lack of a dynamic story and a seemingly endless amount of 3D platformers in that era kept that game from getting the attention it deserves.

Urban Reign has a phenomenal and technical brutal fighting system. Wall flips, wall grabs, sweeps, specials and throws. It's phenomenal

I actually completed Oni a few days ago on my PS2.
Loved it.
