Bro this is not at all true!!! First of all, it won’t work the first time you take it for a lot of people, especially if you’re taking them daily instead of instant release. Maybe you have too small of a dose, or maybe there’s one day two weeks after you start it where you really start to notice the affects. That’s why psychiatrists prescribe new medication for about a month to see the effects and then decide if you should stay on it.

While it is true that amphetamines like Adderall are commonly abused, that doesn’t mean that everyone will rely on it. I take daily Adderall doses, and I forget to take them a lot! Usually I don’t notice until the end of the day!!

Lastly, please don’t think that Adderall will make you impatient or aggressive. In fact, it should be doing the opposite.

So what ADHD is is a deficiency of dopamine in the brain. Lots of people think someone with ADHD is overstimulated, when in fact they’re under stimulated! That results in people seeking out stimulation in things around them and getting distracted easily or acting hyperactive. Adderall is a stimulant that fills in that missing gap in the brain for stimulation. BUT if someone takes too high of a dose then they could get overstimulated, and act aggressive and impatient. OR if someone who doesn’t have ADHD takes it, they could get overstimulated, because they don’t need that gap in their brain to be filled. When you hear people saying Adderall can increase your blood pressure or anxiety, this is what they mean.

When used correctly, Adderall should make you feel like things are slowing down!!! Because you go from needing stimulation and seeking it out in other things to have a normal amount of stimulation, which feels slow compared to without Adderall. While it is true that Adderall can change your personality, it’s in the opposite effect that this guy was talking about.

Adderall almost acts like an uno reverse card for ADHD. It makes people without ADHD feel like they have it, and it makes people with ADHD feel like they don’t. Please please please don’t spread misinformation about medication like this man is doing. It’s perfectly fine to not want medication, but make sure the drive for not wanting it isn’t based off the fears that this man is pushing on to people.

I HATED who I was on Adderall. I’m much happier without it, even if I don’t get as much done some days.

Some medications can cause enzyme reactions, and your body may not break down the medication correctly or be unable to handle it, so if that happens, talk to your doctor. You might need a different medication to treat your symptoms. If it makes you feel worse on the medication or your symptoms get worse, I would ask the doctor. It happened to me. You might be having an enzyme reaction to that medication, and you may need a different type. For me, my enzyme reaction was something in the medication my body could not break down, and so it was causing me worse symptoms trying to take that medication.

I just take it when I need it. I went through a time taking it on the daily. Now that I respect it's power, I do alot differently. I went from 120mg a day to 45mg a day. I LOVE not needing it to function anymore. I'm almost done with school and massage therapy my job doesn't require adhd medicine! Same with my anti anxiety medication

Adderall is one medication that helps a lot of people with ADHD. Unfortunately for me, it gave me enzyme reactions to the medication, and it made my symptoms worse. I have an official diagnosis of ADHD. What helped me was Vyvanse or Concerta; I did fine on those two medications. My psychiatrist and I went with Vyvanse because I could take less of it and obtain the same benefit. Managing ADHD with medication may take some trial and error, especially if you have some enzyme reactions to certain types of meds.

I was addicted to Vyvanse and man it made me apethetic and sleepless without even realizing it.
After I quit I was happier yes, but got zero things done and developed a stoner mentality
