I DON'T NEED NO DOCTOR (LIVE) - STEVE MARRIOTT & PACKET OF THREE

'Humble Pie' had never recorded a studio version of the old Ray Charles number, but it's always been a constant live staple in their repertoire - and (in a severely truncated edit) a 1971 hit single. One might say it's something of Steve Marriott's calling card that accompanied him until the end of his life.

With this version, which was recorded at the Camden Palace in London on January 1, 1985, attention should be paid to the fact that (in contrast to the 'Pie') this is only a trio - but as such they deliver a remarkably tight rendition. Enjoy!
