Some still don't realize that Italy, to be precise the Kingdom of Italy have fought WW2 for almost a decade.
Yes because the war for the Italians started with the Second Invasion of Ethiopia in 1936 and ended up in 1945/1946 with the end of the Italian Civil War.
While the fascist regime sent troops and military materiel to the Spanish to fight their Civil War, the rest of the War was fought almost entirely withoout any supplies, with divisions that was half organic, with obsolete but good tanks, with excellent fighters but with low numbers, and so on.
Italy in the World War Two had to face forst the Allies, so UK, America, Frace (even if they capitulated before they arrived), Poland (that had the misfortune to be Poland aka "that girl that is r*ped in that porn video"), Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, China (that was out of the games because of their own civil war and the Japanese invasion but still Italians had to fight having troops in China), and later the whole rest of the list of the Allies or United Nations.
After 1943 situation grow complex with the Civil War. There are two Italy's that fights.
One on the side of the Allies that fights against the Axis (so add also the other formation to the list of enemies) and another in the north that is a nazi puppet and still fights the Allies.
Moreover, Italy fights also itself. It's a Civil War after all.
In short, Italy have fought without supplies and for around 10 years against the whole list of nations on Earth.
Not without success.
In the North Africa they penetrated in the British Egypt and pushed the British that, until 1943 had no chance to push the Italians away.
The Raid of Alexandria performed by the Italian frogmen commandos is not only a military masterpiece, but the X° Flotilla MAS later after the war would train units like the US Navy Seals.

In Russia, after the poor hungarians broke up the lines (those folks was not even equipped and hitker sent them to die for nothing, the bastard) and the Soviets started Operation Little Saturn, germans ran away to protect Germany... Leaving behind masses of troops scattered on the russian tundra.
Only three Italian Alpini Division faced that cathastrophe by leading a column of stranded from any countries of the Axis back in Europe.
The Soviets wanted to capture them, so they tried to encircle the column. But they never succeeded. They tried 11 times, and they failed 11 times.
While Italy had just these 3 Alpini divisions, Soviets had 1.5 millions of men and tanks, planes, artillery etc.
Later the Soviets said that "Only the Italian Forces are to be considered unbeated in Russia".
That also was our fourth invasion of Russia by the way.
Yeah people can laugh, but they know nothing. And I frankly doubt that their nations, excluded the USSR that for a period fought exactly like us, without anything; would have performed better in our situation.
