There is an old stereotype that men are better at navigating than women, and one new study indicates it might be true. Researchers found females across 21 species had more problems finding their way than their male counterparts — but it comes down to the way they were raised. Men work building and repairing things inside of buildings and communicate with each other without seeing outside and use north east south and west as orientation for what they do very often

It's also a statistical fact that if anyone uses GPS instead of the old paper map it's harder to navigate without a GPS and it also dulls your mind because if you use the old paper map method then you are exercising your brain and using landmarks and looking at street signs instead of letting the GPS tell you where you are and where your going and when to turn ect ect.

I think it comes from primal era personally. I could be very wrong, in saying that though boys do play outside more like riding their bikes adventurously away from home learning navigation how to get to places. Whereas, young girls are more happy to either catch the bus get taken or not go. Interesting topic.
