Setting up Traktor Pro (Starter Guide)

This video will walk new djs through the steps required to get going with Traktor Pro and a midi controller including setting up a sound card for headphone listening and setting up a controller for the first time.

@ThunderPiglit The 8-card has more inputs and outputs, basically. If you only need to output a master signal to the speakers and a monitoring signal to your headphones than a 2-card will be just enough and a good purchase.

Thank you for the tutorial, it is very clear.
The 'only' problem I am facing is that I need to use two different sound cards at the same time:
The on board sound card for the audience and my Usb thumb sound card for headphone.
But I'm not getting it done, to select 2 sound cards at THE SAME TIME in order to play one track at one deck for the audience and one track at one other deck towards my headphone...
Do you have any idea what I should do?

ok cool... I have a lil dilemma, I don't own a midi controller just yet, I do have a USB splitter which connects to the pc and a mixer. Well my dilemma is, can I configure traktor to find the splitter and use it to divide each deck into their own channels and control volume levels etc on the mixer rather on the software. With Virtual Dj, this was quite easy an straight forward. Recently bought Traktor Pro 2 so i'm kinda still in the learning phase. Hope you can help.

Hi Ean..im going to buy traktor scratch one of these days..i have a question.is there any way to use traktor scratch with turntables but the tracks synced with the internal clock? cause the vinyl mode change the tempo all the time and tracks needs sync over and over.thanx

Whats the difference between the 8 Dj sound card and 2 Dj sound card. I know i need to buy one to play gigs to plug speakers into but the 8 costs more and i was wonder why? thanks

hey for some reason when i use my audio 4 dj, all i get is really heavy bass, you can barely hear the music, but when i my other friends audio 4, it sounds fine. is there something wrong i did on my compter? or is my soundcard done
