The maximizer would make more sense as a channel limiter instead of master, so it can be use to boost old track or vinyl rip that need a little extra to match modern sound (kind of like the compressor knob on the Pioneer V10 mixer).

On the master it's not really useful as the sound is already mastered, adding a limiter to already loud modern sound will just make it less dynamic.

What a disappointment direction you chose! I invested huge amount of money in Native Instruments gear over many years but I have to say that your interest in squeezing money out of old gears by subscriptions not by inventing new equipment is frustrating! Explainable to me was packing money into new solutions for my work flow but now I have to say stop! It's time to go with the leaders. Very very disappointing!!!

This used to be my favorite DJ software. But it has been hopelessly lagging behind for almost a decade now. And now following the competition into the horrible, consumer-unfriendly subscription route without even fixing basic features (flexible beatgrids!) is probably just going to kill it.

Why not just update remix decks with compatibility to do everything that the pattern player does? This just complicates things unnecessarily and also leaves the FX unit redundant whilst trying to manipulate the pattern player. This is not a step forwards, if anything I would say it's a couple of steps backwards.

Dunno what to think about that… the Pattern Player is a cool feature to be honest but paying extra or having to Subscribe to a Product i already payed for… no. I think that messes it up even more NI. Sorry. Not a good idea. So for now, you can keep it for yourselves. Greetz

Also to add, where the fuck is the successor to the Z2? Where is the Z4? A 4-channel, 4-band EQ club mixer that competes with Allen & Heath and Pioneer?

I’m happy to see progress being made with Traktor after so many years of stagnation. Things seem to be moving in the right direction, although everyone has their own priorities, you can’t please everyone. Perhaps announcing subscription service before more progress had been made wasn’t the best decision...

I’d love to have more hardware roadmap transparency on whether there’s a new S8 in development. I own the S8, but a next-gen STEMS/flagship controller is well overdue (new S8 or even D2 replacement). Also, fair play to NI and Endo for responding to a ton of comments, even though many haven’t been favourable.

I'm surprised after all these years we haven't seen bigger integrations with other NI products. I feel like instead of these kind of odd pattern players it would have been nice to iterate on the remix deck concept. I think the remix controllers would have worked much better with this concept especially with an 8x8 grid. Also still not sure why there isn't a better way to integrate Maschine. In my opinion it should be as easy as setting it as a deck option instead of having to use Ableton Link and then use a virtual audio cable or having to route audio out of Maschine and back into Traktor.

Quoting the classic "is this an out of season April Fool's joke?" Any Traktor Kontrol + Traktor Kontrol F1 in pattern mode give's you even more fun, more control and more samples playing at once in minimal setup possible. I moved to Denon Prime 4, quite recently just to get standalone experience... I really hoped NI is working on something similar instead...

Is there a shortcut on any NI midi controller or a mac keyboard to change the Filter effects? For example, if I wanna quickly switch from Filter to Reverb? Thanks!

I know we haven’t received much traktor love lately, but I’ve been using it for 13+ yrs now & like everything, bug here & there, but it never crashed on me during a gig, windows or mac…in the clubs serato djs would have tear eyes when their dvs wasn’t synced while mine traktor had no issue…& the NI hardware has withheld thru many battles!
I’m paying this subscription to help out the company that’s helped me, let’s keep pushing for more innovation & more gear!! 😉
