IMAGINE HOW STRONG OUR COUNTRY WOULD BE IF CONGRESS SPENT THEIR DAYS WORKING FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ELECTED THEM INSTEAD OF THE PEOPLE WHO BUY THEM.

Wish we had a strong person in Congress here in Tennessee that's for the people and not feeling their pockets with gold

I mean, the guy and his family make millions of coal and big oil...like what did you think was going to happen.

We never had a Senate Majority....The Turtle received assurances from Manchin a while back that the filibuster would stay in place, so nothing will be passed...same old same old

With all due respect to the good people of West Virginia you can do better than continually electing leaders that think you are idiots. You don't need to be last in everything, that is your choice.

West Virginia ranks 47th in healthcare, 45th in education, 48th in economy, and 50th in infrastructure, and the bill addressing most of these issues has been rejected by their senator. Go figure!

Put it to a vote anyway. Make Manchin go on record explaining to the residents of his state why he is denying them vital upgrades and quality-of-life improvements when it would cost average Americans absolutely nothing. This bill won't add to the deficit, it will actually shrink it over ten years. It won't cost taxpayers making less than 400k anything. It pays for itself and provides all kinds of benefits. Voting no is essentially deciding that you care more about your pocketbook than you do about your countrymen.

Has anyone seen the documentary on west Virginia? He says no to BBB while his people are struggling in obscene poverty.

What is surprising is people actually believed a guy bought and paid for by the coal industry and the Koch brothers had any integrity & was trustworthy.

You knew this was going happen, when they de- coupled the bills. THAT WAS THE POINT.

Of course Manchin announced it on Fox News to his boss and party, Trump and the GOP.

The BBB bill fully deserved to be voted down. Garbage legislation.

Put BBB up for a vote, make Manchin say no on record. Then pummel him with negative ads. Then go win more senate seats in 2022 and make Manchin irrelevant

The only leverage was to keep the two bills together. She's right. The moment the bills were separated, the BBB plan died.

He wasted time knowing the whole time he would never vote for it.

If west Virginia votes him back in, they need to stay the poorest state in the us

A referendum is the best way for the Build back better bill to be passed without being blocked by the filibuster and reckless Coal Mansion and Reckless Sinema. Instead of letting Senators and representatives vote on any bill which have progressive values, let citizens vote on them (either for or against) like how they do in Switzerland.

Is it odd to anyone that he announced it on Fox News? Something is fishy!🤔

Of course, Joe Manchin went on Fox News and announced to his boss, Dana Loesch, Donald Trump, and Mitch McConnell that he wouldn't support Build Back Better.
