Nothing kills that new-rider enthusiasm faster than fear and intimidation, but a perfect first bike should also be fun and enabling, with enough guts to stay relevant as rider skill grows. Kawasaki reached that balance point with the new KLX230R.

Old Harley rider here. I recently purchased a KLX 230SM. I can't remember the last time I had more enjoyment riding two wheels! I love this little thumper!!

Probably all the bike most riders would ever need, my KTM 300 has unusable amounts of power for my moderate skill level, figuring out how to lower the seat height is the big key in this class I'm sure, most full size bikes are so very very tall.

Great riding out there! Was a perfect bike to explore the park.

You didn't "crash", you fell. Get used to it - get-offs are part of the learning to ride off-road agenda. As your skills progress you will learn that when you stop falling you stop learning - at least up to a point.

Essa que era pra ter vindo para o Brasil e com preço melhor que a 300…. Essa aí se sairia muito melhor no Brasil

Fun bike. But on another note, how do I find myself a moto girlfriend like Hailey? 😄

If I’m a 5’5” male and 135 lbs will the KLX 230 R be a good fit?

It is just a cheap built and performing machine. Nothing to be excited about. A much better choice if you fancy Kawasaki would be a 300R.
