Is your Time Timer stuck? Rotate the red disk to clear it of any dust or debris. This fix works for all Time Timer sizes (3-inch, 8-inch, 12-inch).

oh my, you saved my time timer. It sat for a year because I wasn't able to fix it but also wasn't able to give up on it. Then, today, after changing the battery yet again and just before tossing it in the garbage, I decided to try one last search. You did a public service :)

Mine stopped moving altogether (a 12" original). I followed all the trouble-shooting steps on the website, but no go. It was going to be $20 shipping to get it replaced, so I decided to open it up and see if I could fix it. Turns out the wire around the coil was broken. I don't know how that could have happened. But I was able to solder it back together and it started ticking again! It was a bit tricky to put all the covers back on while keeping the gears in place, but I managed to do it, and it works!
I should have made a video of it.
