Looks great can you please do a tutorial on how to send pictures to you because I'm finding it really difficult to do
Just seeing the title makes me think about this so oxford isn't that good are they if you put in the title "avoid"

A fair review Sam, shame it didn't run properly, it was looking like heading to the top of the table. Hope you get a replacement that works properly. Cheers John.

Just got my war department one the other day, it runs perfectly fine, probably just bad luck

At least it makes a good looking display piece. I guess the detail is where the money went rather than the mechanism, but still a great long king model. Love the video keep it up.

Oh dear, I love Victorian goods loco's, shame she doesn't run well i had really high hopes for this loco's after watching Hornby magazines vid. Let's hope oxford sees this and steps up her game.

Hey Sam, sorry to say but I think is bad luck... brockwell lane railway modelling reviewed the same loco, and it ran fine! There was a few click click noises but that stopped once it ran in. I was so shocked to see that performance! When I saw your video title my heart stopped as literally today I ordered one from rails of Sheffield!!! 😳😮😢

So Oxford makes models for the Great Western?

So retro. Even I do like locos from the 1800's, I avoid them, because of the specific rolling-stock they mach, and their limited usage on larger layouts. Good thing we have a display-track piece on most of our stations and we can use half-dead locos as statues. I'm actually looking for an eye-catching one to our newest station.

I have the Oxford Railway mk3 Stobart Coach on pre-order for x4 of them, but worried about having them on pre-order now, because may end up being rubbish, if Oxford Rail are having problems.

Say Sam, has Oxford ever responded to complaints about their bad motors?

I think I've seen the real engine. It's at the Swindon railway museum isn't it?

Oxford rails has the little hornby logo at the back of the box meaning that it's a partner company to hornby. :-)

Hi Sam i really enjoy watching your videos.
In regards to the performance of this engine, when i bought the adams radial it performed very similar this, my engine was shorting out and would not run at all. So i took the body off and removed the DCC socket blanking plate and replaced it with a spare from another locomotive, and to my surprise it worked perfectly, I don't know if this is what is wrong with you locomotive but it could be worth a try.
Oxfordrail have made two stunning looking locomotives but they really need to make sure that they actually work properly before they are sent out to customers.

Gee Sam you seem to have the same bad luck as I! That's the exact same way my Hornby J94 run before it popped a valve! I hope you're replacement is ok just as mine was. very entertaining video as always. Can't wait for the next one.

I saw one of these at my club this evening. Whilst I didn't like the brass-effect dome and the side-sheet contours are a little out, it ran faultlessly out of the box. You've been unlucky I'm afraid Sam. Ask for a replacement, or a refund.

what a pity Sam. It would of look nice with some Great Western clestory coaches. I think Bachmann do one just as good as the Oxford. hope you will be able to fix it. all the best. lieutenant J
