Growing cucumbers on a string trellis!

We just planted our first succession of cucumbers for the season. Cucumbers are one of our favorite crops to grow with a string trellis. They have tendrils, so grab onto the string as they grow, but they’ll be a lot more tidy if you wrap them around the string about once a week and add occasional clips every couple feet. This technique makes it very easy to see when fruits are ready to harvest, so you end up with more fruit, picked at the right size for the best flavor and texture.
