I have a similar tight space and i didn't know that you can yield 60-80 cucumbers per vertical plant!!! 😮 I accidentally planted way too many. So, then this begs the question, how many cucumber plant would you recommend to have in a 6x3 raised bed? Each square (more like 1.5x1.5)

I plan on growing cucumbers for the first time this summer, I’m doing mine vertically up some wire fence. How far apart do you plant your plants?

Shall I let it go horizontally for maybe a foot so that it can form more roots and then take it vertically up or it’s fine with single stem to root and going vertically up straight away? My plant has grown hair as it was growing horizontally and now I have pulled it up vertically but those hair can form roots if I leave that part on ground. Worth it?
