I have a 2018 Mini Cooper, with 19, 000 miles on it, pretty much a new car why can I not get aftermarket Apple CarPlay ? ? ...I even enquired about upgrading the whole head unit to get CarPlay with my dealership...but the guy In servicing said it couldn’t be done yet I see guys swopping them out on YouTube lol lol .. so I tried another mini dealership and the sales guys said it could be done BUT for 4, 000 euro ! ! ....but wanted to sell me a new mini ! ! Just to get Apple Car Play ! ! I’d have no problem paying for the upgrade ...maybe not the ridiculous 4 grand ! Which is tantamount to extortion....I love all the minis have have owned, but I am getting really tried of all this BS ... a Modern Car ...a 25, 000 euro car with no Apple car play ..

Mini should borrow infotainment from BMW. Have all those quirks, such as hand gestures, android CarPlay, voice commands, etc.

Should have an all electric MINI CountryMAN with over 400 miles range in one charge. That would be a hot ticket seller for sure! And available Fast charge. The MINI should be at least 200 miles, 300 miles ideally. A full tank of gas gives 341 miles range. The MINI electric should match that.

The electronic instrument panel is pretty jazzy but would like the panel to be above the steering wheel a little more. Often I have to maneuver my eyes like aerobics class to find the speed.

The new App looks great for current Mini's but it is extremely poor and disappointing that they removed Apps for older Mini's such as mine 2017 Cooper S. They should have maintained the older versions of the App instead of removing it. Very poor customer service not supporting their pre 2018 customer base who were using the App.

Speaking of Apple CarPlay, the wireless charging for iPhone or Android, etc., is not big enough for the iPhone Plus series or Samsung Note series. No Phablet sized cell phone wireless charging! Please MINI, need wireless charging because iPhone 13 is rumored to have no physical charge/data port.

Are there plans to add a charge target on the SE model? So that way when fast charging you can set the max at 80% to get on the road as fast as possible?

I will always have mileage anxiety for anything under 200 miles. The Tesla Model 3 is 270 miles for one charge. Come on MINI, need more mileage. We're not made of money and can go charge and pay every 100 miles. 100 miles in reality is like 80 miles. Also, battery performance is lower when the climate is cooler or cold. With climate change, the weather is not always warm. At night, the weather can be very chilly which hampers the battery's performance. So, that 100 miles could be cut in half! Also, like cell phone batteries, the battery do depreciate after every charge. Batteries don't last forever. Batteries can only handle so many recharges in its lifetime. And, what am I supposed to do when the car is charging? Go eat? I like to eat but I'm not that hungry all the time. Or, shopping? Come on!
