In all seriousness you cant take them too seriously. I was so stressed and so determined to get an A1 in one subject that I had a panic attack during the exam and left without answering a single question. Ended up doing a degree in that very subject. People doing their leaving make themselves sick and it's just not right...

I gave French grinds to Irish students preparing for Junior and leaving certs. It's not only way too impactful, it's also complete garbage (at least the language tests). It's basically testing how well you can learn full paragraphs by heart. They all got suddenly better when I taught them how French works instead of feeding them pre made answers about their family or what is their career plan.
