Koh would've stolen his face already. This spirit steals your face the moment you show any hint of emotion. The worst part is it tries to scare you. This Aang would've been faceless by now

He was creepy but Aang showed emotion with his face

I was a bit annoyed they didn't explain Koh more. In the original series, he actually provided help to Aang, but would not have hesitated to steal his face given the opportunity. In this show, he's more vengeful

No matter what... Koh will always be frightning... and creepy. To think that he preys on those who are lost in the Fog of Lost Souls... And the changing of the faces... it is as I imagined. Nice touch in making him speak using the person's voice, instead of keeping his own. Altough it probably would make him sound even creepier if he kept the same voice. And I like that he has history with other Avatars besides Kuruk.

Aang: 🤣🗣️🤣🗣️😞🤣😵‍💫🤤😵‍💫😳😡🤨😏🤢🥶😈😱🤦‍♂️

Koh: this child is stoic and emotionless, I can’t steal his face

They animated him really well, but the voice and Aang's "fear" just dont do it for me.

There's no reason for Koh to even say "Someone who can resist?" because in the animated series, he's very implied to not give a crap if Aang tries to be serious or not. He actually gets eager and goes "it's been a long time since i've added a child's face to my collection".

He does not show surprise, instead he has smooth, threatening words, and is capable of snapping to express pure anger with ease. He was much less predictable, but this version of him is more stale and doesn't use a voice range to show off his emotions.

He LOOKS scary, but his acting needs work.

Also Aang actually runs away?? In the OG, Aang has a brief moment where he breaks character when Koh isnt looking at him, because he's excited about learning the koi fish are the secret to saving the Northern Watertribe, and Koh INSTANTLY tries to take advantage of it before Aang is quick to keep his composure.

It's very tense, very spooky, very risky. It makes it feel like ONE mistake can be the end of Aang's life. But in this version, Aang actually shows emotion and gets SCARED. It doesn't make sense.

Also what even IS the point of Aang meeting him if he doesnt reveal the information about the koi fish in the first place?! Completely useless screentime, you might as well have kept him out just like the terrible movie did!

His face would be stolen the moment he showed up. He's showing too much emotion in this scene. I don't know how you can f*ck this up so badly.

Koh’s main face looks like it has been done in motion capture, a mixture of animation and live action that was done for Gollum, Smaug, Thanos, Hulk, King Kong, Disney character Davy Jones, Dobby the House Elf, Lord Voldemort, and the Jurassic World Velociraptors.

Koh is much less playful here. Now he's just a horror monster, while in the show he was an actual spirit with personality and stuff.
He looks pretty great though

Man this scene really embodies Sokka's line after watching the Ember Island Players "But the effects were decent"

Koh in the original seires creeped me out and put me in a lot of pressure, but the new one just creeps me out - he looks so good tho

The CGI on Koh is incredible. I'll just get that out of the way before I rip this apart.

They completely misunderstood what made Koh such a terrifying creature. It's not just what he looks like and can steal your face. It's that you can not show ANY emotion when you meet him or your face will be stolen. That's terrifying. Removing that aspect makes him kind of a generic monster. Which sucks because George Takei voiced him so perfectly!

They completely missed the entire purpose of Koh. Roku sent Aang to Koh to find the moon n water spirits. What purpose did he serve here? Bland and uninspired story telling

I know why he dosn't move a lot, but it is a bit sad. In the Cartoon he moves around Aang, like a Predator his pray, and he "strikes" multiple times. It makes him feel morw dangerous. The non moving model is still good, it's creepy how he just stares. Not moving. Waiting to jump on you or not. But it feels like its missing Something.

He steals your face when you show emotion. When confronting Koh, you need a flat face. Don’t show any emotion or he steals your face.

Aang didn't meet Koh in Omashu he met him at The Northern Water Tribe when he was captured by Zuko! And Gyatso never appeared in the Spirit World! And Roku never stole anything!

They really did Koh dirty in this adaptation. Koh isn't just some mindless predator with mommy issues (technically he does have the issues with mommy, but that's beside the point lol). He's not just some evil creature that's "gonna get ya!", but an ancient spirit. Cordial and willing to talk, because that's how he steals your face... getting you to show emotion.

Quite honestly, as much as I was looking forward to the live action series, I was equally disappointed at all the needless changes, and can see why the writers of the cartoon walked out of it. This version just seems too Hollywood. Looks pretty, but favours style over substance.

Bro I haven’t even watched the series but Aang would’ve already lost his face. He showed waaayyyy too much emotion.

The bit of Koh not being able to steal faces is a bit when people make expressions in front of him is a bit disappointing, but everything else with him in this series was good. The CGI and the voice are really good and creepy.
