I prefer Tim's original origin, pre-new52, he just seemed more earnest and heroic and inspired by Batman. In this he has more hubris which is a logical direction to take him in (he is a genius) but I liked that Tim before had less of an ego and a lot of heart. In this origin, I feel like they made him irresponsible because he endangered his life and he did commit a crime to get the attention of Batman. Things I'm not sure I'd see Batman condoning.

remember when tim was a good, normal, very intelligent but that's it kid? when he found batman because he thought he needed a robin to curb his temper? that batman always needs a robin? to ease his pain over losing jason? well this story spits in the face of that masterfully crafted story in exchange for self gratification. almost killing his parents, ruining their lives because he wanted to be robin. also sidekick and partner, no difference. also he committed a CRIME. a good batman wouldn't have taken him in, but this is shit new52 batman.

I didn't like what they did with Tim's new origin. His old origin was better. Of course when you butcher the timeline you have to make up for it somehow.

Tim is one of my favorite Robins and I like how he separates himself from the other Robins by making his own identity. Also there needs to be a Teen Titans animated film. It's long overdue and it needs to happen.

I always like Tim Drake, though I like the pre new-52 origin it still had him trying find batman's origin and for the same reason as the new-52 become batman's partner in order to help overcome his guilt towards Jason.
