Even for the BayerischeStaatsoper, the sets are nonsensical and offensive to anyone familiar with Tristan.

…Frau Harteros keine große Isolde und Herr Kaufmann kein Tristan, die ihren Vorgängern am Haus, u.a. Hans Hopf oder Martha Mödl gerecht werden. Es fehlt einfach an Stimme.
