Betrayal, lost honour, guilt and atonement, passionate love and the desire for death and oblivion -- the story of TRISTAN UND ISOLDE, which grew from Celtic roots into a myth, inspired Richard Wagner to create a work that towers over his artistic oeuvre like a monolith.
We present "the highest fulfilment of the 2000-year development of theatre" (Richard Strauss) in a production by Sir Graham Vick (1953 - 2021)
On 30 Jun and 3/13 Jul 2024 back on stage - under the baton of Juraj Valčuha with Michael Weinius, Günther Groissböck / Albert Pesendorfer (13.7.), Ricarda Merbeth, Leonardo Lee, Jörg Schörner, Irene Roberts, Clemens Bieber, Kieran Carrel, Byung Gil Kim, Extras, Chorus and Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
