Topher is a real driver, he doesn’t overly complain, he drives and enjoy how the car is setup

Honestly surprised that this is a Subaru. How much they’ve changed in the last 4-5 years!

Bash the CVT all you want, but it's the smartest transmission on the market. They have improved massively since Audi's Multitronic CVT that was rubbish. Now they do simulate gears, it's the most efficient in terms of fuel because it keeps the engine in the perfect rev range, that helps the boxer because it's not the most efficient engine, it's smooth and buttery, fairly reliable, especially since Toyota has 17% of Subaru and Toyota's CVT is bulletproof. It's not sporty like ZF's 8HP or Porsche PDK that shifts in a blink, but it's the best for E Class size sedan that's good for cruising, not for raping around a track. It's a lot of car for that money, way better value for money than german cars, awesome for a family with kids.

If Subaru put a DCT or ZF trans in their cars, I would be in line to get one.

omg my anxiety from watching how slow the screen was, I swear an iPhone 5 with a dead battery probably more responsive

“Boxster engine.” Scotty has left the chat.

So glad they updated the screen to be quicker. I have a 2022 Outback XT and its much faster than shown here so I'm happy they are updating it.

I'm a Subaru owner, but I strongly believe most Subarus like the Legacy need an exterior refresh. They look very dated, very early 2000s styling. They don't need extreme sharp lines like some of the competition like an Accord or Camry, but this looks like it hasn't undergone a significant design change in over a decade. No one is buying a Legacy because it's catching their eye.

Subaru: don't worry the interior is what you will be seeing most of the time as the driver

The '19 was kind of the sweet spot for me. The tech is nice but not overwhelming. The styling and performance is very desirable for the price point. The CVT is...well, it's a transmission. The average person (like me) who cares that it gets you places is not going to mind. Not sure how I feel about the touchscreen eating up the dash on the '20, but it's at least not bad looking. If you threw a Lexus badge on the thing, you probably wouldn't blink an eye at another $10-20k being added on to the price tag.

Love the XT, plus the brown material looks gorgeous.

As a 2.5GT owner, I would totally get the new LXT if Subaru made this with a 5/6 speed manual or even a DCT

I don't even really care about these cars, I just come for your calming voice.

my friend has a 2015 legacy, this one obviously is newer and has its upgrades but in general these cars are still great.

If they tossed in an 8 speed auto I’d be super interested but the cvt kills it for me.

Definitely like the interior; however, the exterior needs help you can’t have it all 😕

This car desperately needs DCT and more modern styling

The new voiceover in the beginning is awesome!

Legacy GT used to have a real full time AWD and a 5 speed auto. None of this CVT + part time AWD just to save a few mpgs. JDM model also has an interesting CVT + VTD combo.
