I recently switched from high bar to low bar, and it was like a magic trick how much stronger I was. I went up 55lbs that day.

Also people tend to look too much at the extreme examples of Low-bar (Mark Rippetoe) and High-bar (Olympic weightlifters) squat and try to mimic them exactly the same way. I´ve got news for them not everyone have same kind of body proportions, synovial cavitys etc.

When you are "Low-bar" squatting you DON't have to keep your toes pointed out 45 degrees, legs double your shoulder width meter apart, sit far back and lean forward.
Same thing for high-bar squats you can have your toes pointed out abit more, little wider stance, sit more back and lean abit more forward.

Alan, you're the man, always answer to the questions I need !
I just started Low Bar last week, need to improve it but I will DEFINITELY lift heavier with it !
I feel like it's going to be really hard to add more weight doing high bar.

The problem with High Bar Squat and heavy weight is that with the bar on the traps, I feel like I'm crushing down my spine !

Low bar still works on the quads and I'll just add front squats to complete, that's it.

My favorite part about your content is that you're much more real than other fitness channels. Most other titles on this topic would say something like "high-bar squat/ low-bar squat: YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!" but you just say: it doesn't really matter. Not only made me laugh, but also actually honest LOL

Yeah, this was one of the takeaways from the Omar Assmuff and Greg Knucks squat seminar, that if you're just training for general strength, it doesn't make too much difference if you use the front squat, high bar, or low bar. #allsquatsarebeautiful

I like watching your videos before my workouts. Especially because you highlight both high and low bar! My shoulderblades always ache after low bar squats so I have a preference for high bar
