Interesting back story, after that game the Eagles tried to trade him as a result of that play to the Lions for one of their running backs (I forget his name). So each had to take a physical for the trade to go through and it turned out the Lions player had a tumor in his brain that had just started developing and they wouldn't have found otherwise. Turns out this play probably saved the guys life.

Based on the commentators, it was 4th down, I would understand to anger if he tossed that for a fumble on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd down, but if you're going for it on 4th down and you lose a fumble like this, it's not the worse thing in the world.

Even today, barely over 10 years later, and I'm still enjoying watching this play. I was dying of laughter then, when it happened, and I'm still laughing. Like, as an NFL fan, it's a head scratcher, nobody knows what he was doing or thinking (if at all, I don't really think he was thinking honestly). Eagles fans have all the right to be pissed off because it cost THEM the season, and it helped the Giants get in, by default basically, which led to them winning yet another Super Bowl.

its definitely not fake. i watched this game at the real time it was on with a couple of my boys laughing our asses off and we always say this to eachother now and especially when we see ronnie brown playing... ill never forget this lol

That was the year the Eagles had that "Dream Team" (coined by newly acquired backup QB Vince Young). The started the year reckless; and with plenty of losses.

This was also the game that put the Niners on the map. Everybody thought they stunk, then shortly after this game they found themselves at 5-1.

I'm a Dolphins fan, very good friends with an Eagles fan. He was so amped that they picked up Ronnie. All I could do was sigh. Ronnie used to be a serviceable running back, but the implementing of the wildcat offense killed him. Too much east-west running and trying to pitch the ball, when he used to be a straight up north south, lower your shoulder runner. It's sad to see his decline.
