Creedence Clearwater Revival - Travelin' Band

#CCR Creedence Clearwater Revival is undeniably one of the greatest rock bands of all time, with an instantly recognizable, raw, bayou sound, popularized in songs like "Proud Mary" and "Green River”. Since their formation in the 1960s, CCR has sold over 50 million records, while their songs remain in heavy rotation on the radio.

Though the band only released 7 studio albums in their too-short career, Creedence had an astonishing track record: eight consecutive gold singles ("Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," "Green River," "Down on the Corner," "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Up Around the Bend," "Lookin' Out My Back Door," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?") and eight consecutive gold albums. With music that sounds as fresh and compelling today as it did 30 years ago, CCR is one of a handful of bands whose entire body of work has attained true "classic" status.

If I ever wanted to explain Rock and Roll to someone who had never been exposed - this would be one of the first tracks. Perfect.

One of my best memories was dancing to this record with my dad and sisters. We didn't understand a word of English back then we lived in Brazil. But we can hear the music and I love the singer's raspy voice so language is not a barrier when it comes to great music. I passed it on to my son. Along with many other great artists from that era.

Growing up in the 70's, I listened to all kinds of cool music. Traveling Band was the 1st song 🎵 I heard anyone use the word fart in a song. Still mind blowing...

That second solo is so freakin’ electrifying, makes you feel the groove picked up another 20 m.p.h…& that final verse & ending is the kind of real rock power is kick-ass !

I used to sit on the school playground swings and sing this! Those were the good ol days, Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top, and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Oh, and can't forget Nickelback!
