To everyone saying this isn't the BOV it could be that the spring in the Tial BOV is too strong for the boost pressure he is running causing it to flutter.

that is not bov sound. thats the sound of boost kicking back to the air filter when you close throttle. not enough pressure to open this bov

A compressor surge is when u hear the BOV and then hear that right after. this is a sequential BOV so its actually better for performace it drops the PSI is stages so when you get back on the gas you still have boost in the piping instead of just from max boost to 0

@arich357 no surge happens after spool when you've built boost, and you let of the gas shutting the throttle body forcing the air to go back spinning the turbo the oposite way. Hence the bov

my eclipse gst used to flutter like that. vacuum hose to the BOV was in a bind. got a longer hose, problem fixed.

Compressor surge is under load...this is flutter dump. Not bad for the turbo.

Tial does make very good BOV's not only wastegates.

How would any of you know this is surge? If its making this noise when he lets off the gas it's because his spring is too tight and the air can't get out all at once. so the air goes out and looses some pressure. valve shuts. turbine wheel is still spinning some and creates more pressure which opens the valve again. It doesn't necessarily mean his turbine wheel is stopping then spinning then stopping then spinning. (surge)

@UrbanestCesar The comments above explain whats going on. This is just flutter from the air not being released out the bov, so no bov sound just turbo flutter.
