I think Mando could have shown up in Boba but his arc should be fairly reduced. Like maybe we see him taking on a bounty, not using the dark saber much, head to tatooine, get his new ship, Boba and Fennic hire him, he helps out, then he end with say he has to go see an old friend(grogu).
With season 3 picking up with him finding Paz Visla and the armorer and then Luke and Grogu.
