Secret service don’t care .The last assassin who was on the roof lots of citizens were trying to alert the police they saw him up there .Didn’t do anything until they had to because to many people saw him with a gun.

In the mid 60s, I was with the DC air guard and was activated many times to supplement the police when there was a chance of a problem in our nations capital. Why can’t the Secret Service make you of the army navy Air Force Marines National Guard if they need more bodies.
True these people may not be trained in these security measures, but the presence and the eyes would make a large deterrent
