I've seen shadow people a few times. The most memorable one was while I was sitting up late, watching TV. I could see straight down the hallway and could see all three doorways. My bedroom was the room at the end of the hall, on the left. That's where I saw it.
While watching a movie, I felt like I was being watched. When I glanced up from the TV, I could see that something was in the doorway. As I focused on seeing the doorway in the darkness, I could just make out a shape in the doorway. It was solid black and darker than the surrounding shadows. As my eyes focused better, I could clearly make out a head and shoulders, leaned over and looking down the hallway at me. It appeared to be in my bedroom, leaning out to look. I can still see it in my mind...

Funny they mention the cardiac thing. I had two shadow people race toward me in my sleep. the days following I had a feeling of not quite being connected to my body, and then later discovered I had Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome which is a cardiac issue. Never had issues before then, but did after. Never had palpitations or irregular heart beats. Maybe it appeared later in life and the change also made changes in other systems of the body causing the vision of shadow people... I dunno. But I definitely found that interesting.

Having practiced astral projection for many years... I have had an experience with something like a "shadow person". Thinking I was awake... I jumped up knowing someone was in my house and I ran out to confront them, ran around the corner of my living room into my kitchen to see a human figure, as black as black can get. I tried to attack it and instantly was paralyzed and fell through my floor and snapped back to my bed instantly.
