In this video I cover finding the domain and range of a composite function. The idea of mappings diagrams, elements, domain, range and graph sketching is tested.

Your method was so much faster and simpler than my teachers

Is the question correct? Based on the definition of a composite function f(g(x)) does not exist for the given domain.

For f(g(x)) to exist the range of g(x) should be a subset of the domain of f(x). Range of g(x) <= 8 and the domain of f(x) <0. So f(g(x)) does not exist.

Your method is brilliant but the final answer for the domain of fg(x) is wrong.

These videos are super useful, cheers

Your both answers are wrong. Domain of fg(x) is x>8. And range of fg(x) is fg(x)>48. This is because range of g(x) is the domain of f(x) which is the domain of fg(x).

Hello, when are you going to start doing GCSE stuff?

I think this one is wrong. fg does not exist because the range of g is not within the domain of f so we cannot find the domain of fg.

am sorry but i think the turning point isn't correct

Why isf(g(x)) only GREATER THAN-16 and not GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO -16?
